How would you introduce your music?
I am not very good at labelling.. if i intellectualise i can maybe come up with indie pop with portuguese folk influence, but it is such early stages, i am still experimenting, so it might end up as psychedelic jazz, who knows?

When did you begin to write songs? Which was the first one?
The first time i constructed a song was in 2005, started in the bath tube ended in a recording studio and it was "Mr Player".

Which method do you follow to write a song?
The Instinctive Method… Sometimes it can come through a poem, or a just a phrase or a melody, there is no right or wrong way to write a song.

What were your musical influences while growing up?
Well, my mum is an opera singer and my dad was a clarinet player, but there was no music in the house while growing up… I remember my aunt listening to Queen downstairs and my neighbour listening to Prince. But it was only much much later, after moving to London that i even heard of Led Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd…

What was the first CD you bought?
It was a compilation of George Gershwin and Cole Porter songs.

Who is most likely to play on your ipod?
Jeff Buckley. He is my Elvis.
